The 90s Men’s Fashions to Update your Wardrobe this Winter

In fashion, we often look back at fashion from the past to influence the fashion trends of today. The hottest decade of the moment (in case you hadn’t noticed!) is of course the 90s. The decade that gave us Britpop, the Tamagotchi and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air is making a huge comeback on catwalks around the world, and designers like Farah menswear have lots of looks inspired by the decade, so if you are wanting to update your winter wardrobe, then keep an eye out for some of these 90s trends…

Checks – The grunge scene of the 90s was heavily into it’s checked shirts, and the checks are making a big comeback. For the winter this is a great look, either worn as a smarter style, or layered with a t-short for a 90s inspired casual look. Heavier checked shirts worn as coats were also big news at Fashion Week earlier this year.

Acid Wash Denim – The rave scene style is another music influenced style making a comeback, and along with it this season we are seeing a lot of acid wash denim. As well as this, the baggier jeans of the 90s are making a big comeback.

Windbreakers – One of the biggest coat trends of the 90s are back just in time for the winter weather. One of the best additions to your wardrobe for this season, these sporty and lightweight jackets are the perfect choice if you are looking for a new coat to see you through the chillier months, that will last you well into the unpredictable spring time as well!
