Getting into Knitting

Knitting is something that is typically associated with older ladies, however it is something that in the last few years has started to enjoy more popularity amongst all age groups, as people start to realise that knitting is actually not only a really good skill to learn, but also that it has an array of health benefits, from the social aspect to help reduce loneliness, to the fact that it can reduce anxiety and lower the blood pressure.

If you are wanting to get into knitting but are not sure how to go about it or where to start, hopefully this will help you…

Knitting Supplies – To start knitting you will need a few supplies to get you started off. It is a good idea when you begin to just start with a few essentials and then build up as you go along. You can buy these separately, or you can buy a knitting kit like this from Wool Couture to help you get started off. It is advisable to start off with an inexpensive yarn, that way it won’t matter if you mess up a few times when you are practicing.
