Go Wooden

A perennial favourite, wooden flooring looks great in any room, is warming on the feet first thing in the morning and, these days, is easier than ever to install.

Engineered wood, which is made up of thin sheets glued together, offers a quick, easy way to get a beautiful wooden floor. The newest versions come with a durable coating which means they will look great for longer.

Cork it

Another natural and warm material for your floor is cork, which is even easier to put down than wooden flooring. Cork floors now come in panels which can be snapped in place without the use of nails or glue, and they can be laid on top of existing floor as well as concrete.

According to home design website Houzz, it’s even got excellent ‘green’ credentials.

Back to Vinyl

Vinyl flooring, such as that available at http://www.ukflooringdirect.co.uk/ may be quite retro, but there’s a reason it’s still popular – it’s also practical, economical, easy to clean and simple to lay.

Vinyl tiles look great in a bathroom, laundry room or foyer. They come in a huge range of colours and textures, so you can be creative in your designs and bring a room to life.

Float Away

Not nailed down like traditional wood flooring, a floating floor is snapped or glued together and goes down quickly over almost any existing floor, even ceramic tiles.

Adding undoubted warmth and good looks to any room in the house, it is an ideal quick-fix solution to any redecorating plans.

Go Running

A stair runner is a speedy and attractive way to brighten up your home. A narrow strip of carpet, the runner can be attached quickly, and can easily replace a worn-out carpet or add comfort to wooden stairs.

Carpet

Everyone loves a new carpet. The smell, the softness under the feet, and the warmth it adds in the winter – what’s not to like?
