Got something with a bend in it?

Since the dawn of construction humans have found that they will need to bend something. Nature abhors a straight line as they say but sometimes the natural bend in a substance is just not what we need. If you have something in the home that has a calculated bend in it the chances are it has been created on a series of Bending Machines. You can see some examples of the various types at Cotswold Machinery Sales.

There are many types of bending machines that are all used for different bending purposes. There are times when a product design for something motorised needs a specific piece of bent material. This is where the bedding machine comes in, In some cases the machine is a simple hand operated device that is able to bend a piece of metal or plastic when it is in a malleable state, This is usually when it has been heated up.

However whilst this is perfectly acceptable for wall mounted brackets and the like there are some bends that require precision work. This where a computer aided machine comes into use. A computer aid bending machine will accurately calculate the precise angle of the bend that the metal must take. If it is to house or be a part of a delicate piece of equipment then you cannot be too careful to leave it in the hands of a human. If they are off by a few millimeters then the whole project could be scrapped as unworkable.
