How to soothe sore feet when taking a stroll between your meetings

When you are walking around a city enjoying the sights and the smells of the local area following on from your use of Meeting Rooms Windsor way, you may walk further than you intended to as you are distracted by your surroundings and taking a break from your training sessions or meetings. Unfortunately, a consequence of this can be sore feet. Here are some tips on how to relieve the pain and get you walking again as soon as possible to enjoy your time in the city. Build up your stamina

Although this may be too little too late, it is a good idea to build your exercise levels over time so that your muscles and ligaments get used to walking long distances. If you are experiencing pain, it is probably because you have overdone it or have ill-fitting or unsuitable footwear.

Rest up

It may seem obvious, but giving your feet a rest when they are sore is essential. If you have been walking around enjoying the sights for a long time, it’s time for a rest. Don’t put weight on your feet, and take your shoes off to remove any additional pressure from them.

Apply heat/ice

If your feet are visibly swollen, you might want to use heat or ice to bring the swelling down. Use whichever method you prefer and apply to the affected area for 15 to 20 minutes three times a day. Use an ice pack or a hot foot bath, and you will begin to feel better.

Elevate

Soreness can occur due to pressure on the feet, so it makes sense to regularly elevate your feet to relieve this pressure. Elevate your feet for 15 minutes at a time several times a day. Keep your feet higher than your pelvis to allow the blood to flow back down the feet and legs. This will reduce the build-up of pressure.

Other causes

Your feet may be sore for other reasons in addition to walking, such as corns and calluses. These can be caused by wearing tight footwear and can be relieved easily.
